£39,900The Biddick Inn is a traditionally styled two storey two roomed pub located on Bonemill Lane in the Fatfield area of Washington, overlooking the delightful River Wear. The new publican will also need the enthusiasm and drive to grow the business to attract further trade from the local community and beyond.
Private Accommodation: The private accommodation is well presented and located on the first floor above the main trading area. All three bedrooms are of a good size, there is a spacious lounge and the kitchen is fully fitted.
Indoor trading area
The trading areas at the Biddick are separated into two distinct areas; a well-appointed bar with a good mix of loose and fixed seating offering 50 covers, a pool table, dart board, live music and a large screen TV. The second is a comfortable lounge area which offers 40 dedicated dining covers and an additional adjoining room with a further 30 covers. There is an extensively equipped trade kitchen capable of producing high quality pub food.
Outdoor trading area
Accessed directly from the bar there is an enclosed beer garden to the rear of the property with a mix of grassed areas and a raised paved area which offers respite for smokers. There is also a tarmac lined car park with space for 20 vehicles.
Regional Manager Comments
The Biddick is an excellent pub set in a picturesque spot in the area of Washington with lots to offer. The pub primarily attracts drinks in the bar area for guests who enjoy the televised live sport, pub games and live music. The lounge area is popular with an older mixed clientele who are attracted by the quality home cooked food offer. The pub also forms part of the riverside "mini circuit" which is especially popular in the summer months. I am now seeking an experienced operator who has catering experience to continue the well-established food offer. The new publican will need to integrate with the local community to help develop and grow trade.
