A welcoming environment, the public bar is spacious with a lively atmosphere, comprising a jukebox, games area with both pool and darts equipment, and room for 45 covers. Low beamed ceilings, stone wall features, a wooden cladded bar and an array of ladder back chairs and tables give the bar an ‘olde worlde’ feel. A separate lounge and restaurant area, accessible down a small flight of stairs, comes complete with open brick fireplaces, carpeted flooring and seating for 36 covers. The trade kitchen is of a good size and equipped to deliver a mid-market food offer.

Outdoor trading area

The Volunteer has a three-tier beer garden to the rear of the property, equipped with its own BBQ area. Enclosed by a stone wall, there is a large grass area with picnic benches and a stone circle with rattan seating, which prove popular in the warmer months.
