Pub Layout On walking to the pub there is a paved beer garden to the rear which sits by the roadside to watch the world go by. When you enter the pub there is a raised lounge area suitable for drinking or eating which leads to the main bar area which curves around the horseshoe-shaped bar. To the right hand side is some comfortable fixed seating and a wood burning stove and to the left there is a more traditional bar feel but again suitable for both drinking and eating. To the right of the bar there are some steps that lead to another trading room and the toilets. The top trading room is currently used as a sports area with TV’s, darts and skittles, however, it could be used as a meeting room or private dining. There are also 3 en-suite letting rooms at the site.

The pub currently trades as a village pub, which should be part of the local community. With the right food offer, it could become a popular and welcomed destination food venue. The ability to focus on good hearty pub food is a must whilst incorporating weekend specials and week nights should focus on offers such a steak night and fish night ensuring the pub is supported throughout the quieter days. A strong rhythm of the week is required in terms of entertainment, such as quiz nights and live music, and sports teams such as darts would be a welcome addition.
