£23,000Located in the busy suburb of Downend, Bristol, the Trident is a popular community pub full of character. Well-positioned to attract passing trade, the pub requires a marketing boost from a new publican to develop its appeal and maximise its potential. Introduction of a food menu and continued involvement with the local community is vital as the pub which has a long-standing history as a central landmark in Downend and an ideal location surrounded by chimney pots. The open plan interior is well decorated providing a warm ambience. A sports and games area is popular with local teams and there is seating throughout for 50 covers. For the right publican we have great plans for a major refurbishment if they wish to take such an option.
Private Accommodation: Good size accommodation comprising three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom
Indoor trading area
This pub is a single bar operation serving a large open plan trading area, with the capacity for 50 covers. A mixture of lose, fitted and comfy seating is found throughout and the pub. A small catering kitchen on the ground floor serves this area. The Trident is popular for live sports and games and there is a separate area with two dart lanes and a pool table used by local teams. The bar can be turned into a dance floor area for live music events as the flooring is laid to wood whilst also helping maximise the pub's income and facilities.
Outdoor trading area
There is a decking structure with outside seating and also a good-sized beer garden to the front of the building, with potential for a new publican to develop the rear and side areas. There is a large car park with space for 30 vehicles.
Regional Manager Comments
The Trident’s current business centres on wet led trade from local clientele. The pub has huge potential for the right publican who has a passion to become part of the community, offering good quality ales, pub games and home cooked food that targets both locals and business/passing trade. We also have the potential to carry out a major refurbishment for the right publican which would include the potential for a very busy catering operation.
