The publican will also need to become an integral member of the local community to continue the well-established trade.

Private Accommodation: The private accommodation is spacious and comprises three double bedrooms, a large lounge and a generous kitchen and bathroom. It is traditional in decor and may require some updating to personal taste.

Trading Style

Indoor trading area

The Kingsway benefits from two key trading rooms; a traditional bar and a lounge. The popular bar is located to the front of the pub with seating for approximately 30 people along with pool, darts and table football. The room is decorated to a good standard but would benefit from a refresh decoration. The spacious lounge is positioned to the rear of the pub and decorated in a tasteful manner. This large room is also used for private functions, seating approximately 50 people. The trade kitchen is capable of offering a snack and bar menu, although some of the equipment would benefit from an upgrade in order to enhance the food offer. Acoustic and amplified live music has been played on occasion.

Outdoor trading area

To the side and rear of the building is a tranquil fenced open and covered patio area, where customers and families can sit and relax. Parking is offered to the front of the pub with space for 20 vehicles and a small covered smoking solution is located to the side of the property.

Regional Manager Comments

The local residents are very much the main clientele with a big emphasis on community spirit and entertainment; sports teams are also extremely popular. We are seeking an experienced publican to further enhance the retail offer; to include quality sports viewing, a regular food offer such as Sunday roasts, curry nights and an attractive snack menu.
