Home to the Nailsea Folk Club and several skittles teams; and boasting a huge children's adventure playground, a whole row of floodlit petanque pistes and a barbecue area to hire, this pub is a focal point of the local community. With a large open plan trading area, great food facilities, cask ales and an amazing outside space, this opportunity is not to be missed. Stonegate Pub Partners are looking for an experienced catering-minded publican to take this pub to the next level.
Private Accommodation: The large spacious private living accommodation can accommodate a family, with three bedrooms, a lounge, and a kitchen.
Indoor trading area
Inside, it’s very much a traditional English pub in its design with traditional decoration, but contemporary features. The layout consists of one large trading area with an easily accessible bar, featuring well-kept cask ales and international brands of the publicans choosing. The total covers comprise approximately 60 for drinking and 40 for food and allows plenty of space to drink and dine in comfort. The back of the pub also hosts a large function room which can be used for a range of events including parties, christenings or wedding receptions. This room can also be set up as a skittle alley or darts area.
Outdoor trading area
Outside, there is a large beer garden which is partly laid to lawn and partly a patio, complete with several tables and chairs for al fresco dining. Completing the package is a children’s play area and a row of floodlit petanque pistes to while away a summer's afternoon. A 25-space car park is adjacent to the pub.
Regional Manager Comments
Stonegate Pub Partners are looking for a publican with good catering skills that can forge strong links with the local residents. The pub has good facilities which are available to be used to its full potential to attract families, festivals and events which can be held in the beer garden. There should be a quality food and drink offer available to maintain this pub's historical high standards.
