£12,000The Malt Shovel is a lovely example of a traditional village pub. Located in Ryton on Dunsmore, the pub has retained its charm and character over the years and provides a cosy and welcoming atmosphere to both locals and passers-by. The pub offers two key trading areas including a public bar and cosy lounge space ideal for drinks and relaxed dining for families and friends. There is a good-sized beer garden located to the rear of the pub with great scope to host charity events, markets and much more during the warmer summer months. This is a fabulous opportunity for a publican who is willing to immerse themselves into the community and develop the real strengths of the business to allow this great pub to reach its full potential.
Private Accommodation: The private accommodation offers three bedrooms which a new publican is welcome to put their own stamp on to make it a home.
Indoor trading area
The Malt Shovel currently operates with two key trading areas both serviced from one central bar servery. The pub offers a public bar area with pub games on offer including darts and pool, the second area is a lounge offering relaxed seating to enjoy drinks with friends. The décor is traditional in style and offers a mixture of loose and fixed tables and chairs. There is a good-sized kitchen on site which is capable of producing a traditional pub food offer such as a Sunday carvery.
Outdoor trading area
The beer garden is of an excellent size with ample space for outdoor events which could prove extremely popular during the summer months.
Regional Manager Comments
The Malt Shovel is the hub of the community and a hotspot for the locals living in the village. I am looking for an enthusiastic publican who is ready to immerse themselves into village life and really focus on the strengths of this business. As well as keeping great beers, there is huge potential to commence a small but effective food offer as well as weekly entertainment and charity events.
