If you are interested in running your own pub business, the Pelican in Hull is available now.
The Pelican is an excellent community wet led pub in the heart of East Hull. It benefits from having three distinct bars served by a central bar. It has a games/sports room, function room and locals everyday bar. The pub does exceptionally well from functions with one large one on most weekends and sometimes two. It has a loyal following from darts teams due to the designated areas for them to play competitions, etc, and also has a large outdoor area including a decent sized car park. The Pub currently doesn't offer food but there is a reasonably laid out kitchen and food could be an option and the new operator would keep 100% of food sales.
This really is a well-loved local community pub in the East of Hull and does very well in terms of sales from those local customers particularly during the week. It does also have the advantage of having a good sized function room complete with a staged area. The Pelican's reputation for delivering great functions is well known hence the number of bookings it receives. We are looking to introduce Sky Sports back to the pub after a couple of years which will assist in retaining the various sports teams.

We are looking for an experiencedwet led operator who is capable of engaging with the locals and sports teams as wellas the potential customers looking to book a function. Ideally the new partner is looking to introduce a food option and an advocate of TV and team sports.
The site currently takes on average £13,500 but has the potential to achieve up to £20,000 a week by targeting extra food and drinks sales.
