Job Description

We're looking for a General Manager for a stunning country pub in Kirk Ella. Salary up to £48,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package. 

Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Now, we’re on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Wheatsheaf in Kirk Ella and lead the team to success!

About the pub

The Wheatsheaf Kirk Ella is a gorgeous country pub located just a stone’s throw away from Hull golf course. 

Offering a cosy tap room and separate dining room, the Wheatsheaf boasts traditional features including a charming fireplace and stunning décor throughout, as well as a fantastic beer garden which proves popular with guests during the summer months.

Delighting guests with our Signature menu, the Wheatsheaf currently trades at an average of £28,000 per week in net sales and benefits from a strong wet trade with a sales mix of 55/45 in favour of drink sales.

The Wheatsheaf is one of our flagship Signature businesses and we are therefore looking for a passionate leader with a track record of success through inspiring & engaging their teams and engaging with the local community. 

The Wheatsheaf offers the perfect opportunity for an experienced General Manager to showcase their skills, bringing their passion and enthusiasm to a thriving business.

Management accommodation is available in the form of a 3 bedroom flat.
