We're looking for a General Manager for a Community pub in Wakefield. Salary up to £42-45k plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

About the pub

The Bridge Inn is a popular community pub in Wakefield. Located close to the city centre with schools, shops and train stations all within a 1-2 mile radius. The pub currently operates a two room operation with 132 dining covers in the restaurant side and 60 in the bar side. Outside has a large capacity overlooking the canal picturesque navigation that can seat 206 covers. A separate children's play area is also available, as well as an additional sports beer garden with outside TV. The pub has recently completed a 400k transformational capex and now has Sky and TNT packages to supplement its growing sports demand. A large car park that can be utilised for outdoor events.

The Bridge Inn has a strong guest following from local rugby league supporters, as well good attendance for regular quiz nights and friendship lunches. With current sales of £18,000 a week with a 40/60 food to wet sales mix. We are looking for an engaging operator operator ideally with a background in sports. Local knowledge is not essential but a strong team ethic and a keen entrepreneurial approach is preferred.
