Job Description
The Sun Inn is a stunning traditional village pub nestled in the idyllic village of Pooley Bridge on Ulleswater in the Lake District. The pub boasts a main dining room, two bar/dining areas and a large beer garden with the most amazing views. The pub also benefits from 9 letting rooms.
We are ideally looking for someone with experience of a high volume (wet and dry) site and with accommodation experience to be able to get the best from the 9 rooms on offer to guests. Experience of working with a branded menu would be an advantage but not essential however experience of delivering food with consistency in quality is essential.
The Sun would suit someone who is able to be creative and drive sales focussing on locals and passing trade and not just relying on tourist through traffic.
The pub is currently taking £24,000 per week split between all 3 business areas however has the potential to take more with a big focus on regular entertainment and events.
This would suit a couple which are hands on and where one is in the kitchen and one front of house or an experienced General Manager who has a team in place.
What’s in it for you?
- A guaranteed annual retained sum of £25k, released weekly.
- 22% share of weekly sales, excluding VAT.
